Whether it is winter or summer, you will be spending time in your home. If it is summer, you will be hosting guests and if it is winter, you will be spending more of your own time in your home. Do not let your home feel neglected, use these easy steps to ensure your home is always looking clean!

1. Keep All Your Cleaning Supplies Organized

It is important that all of your cleaning supplies are kept in one location and that they are organized. If you have to go running around your home to find a cleaning product, you may easily get distracted by a new task or by something unproductive. I love to keep all of my cleaning supplies in a caddy so that they are easily accessible, and I can easily take them around the house with me. I recommend that you have a caddy for every floor of your house so it makes the process even easier!

2. Use Only a Vacuum, No Need for a Broom

Vacuums are much easier to use than a broom. Are you asking why? Well a broom requires a dustpan and you must sweep everything up into the pan to dispose of it. A vacuum allows you to save time by collecting the dirt for you, simply remove the canister and discard of the dirt in your trashcan.

3. Ensure Your Vacuum has Unlimited Access

You may be wondering what this step means and I am going to explain this to you now. Ensure your vacuum has a long enough reach so that you can at least cover every floor using one plugin. Invest in a 20-50ft extension cord and use this to lengthen the reach of your vacuum.

4. Do Not Get Flustered by the Small Stuff

Getting into the nooks and crannies of every cabinet or standing furniture can be skipped for a few cleans. There is no need to continually dust areas that are not high traffic. Leaving these areas and allowing yourself to clean the high traffic areas is going to make your home appear to be cleaner. Spend more time if your loved ones and get these areas every few cleans.

5. Create a Cleaning Schedule

Create a cleaning schedule for yourself so that you have weekly tasks and you always know how to properly keep up with all your cleaning. Refer to our weekly cleaning guide for tips on how to make this process the easiest it can possibly be!
